Following is Christopher Nolan’s first film.  He wrote and directed it.  Nolan is known for directing the latest Batman features.  I tend to like most of his movies.  This film is definitely done in film noir style.  It is all in black and white.

SPOILER ALERT

Overall, it was a movie that I enjoyed.  It was fairly clever and intriguing.  It made me feel guilty about how easily influenced I am by others as our protag is by Cobb.  It became a little too twisty at the end and that was my major detraction, although,  I did appreciate not exactly knowing how the movie was going to end.  I thought that the sharpest point of the movie was that we are in the dark to start and progress to vaguely knowing that the blonde and Cobb have a trap for our guy.  I kept thinking he would do something unexpected to shake loose, but even his seemingly spontaneous actions are predicted right within the tethers of Cobb’s web.
