Inglourious Basterds (2009)
Inglourious Basterds is a WWII movie written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. Maybe it would be better to call it a action movie set in German-occupied France.

Inglourious Basterds
The first 15-20 minutes of the movie was very entertaining. The dialogue in this first scene moves between German, French and English forcing you to pay close attention. Unfortunately it’s the best part of the movie and there are still 2 hours left.
Colonel Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz), nicknamed “The Jew Hunter” is the the only smart and powerful character in the movie. Landa’s interrogations were the best parts of the movie. Waltz’s performance makes the movie worth watching, the same cannot be said for Brad Pitt’s, Aldo Raine. Found it painful each time he was on the screen.
Martin Wuttke playing of Hitler had me wondering if the acting was bad on purpose-like maybe he was not really Hitler.
Pitt does get the best line however——-”More like chewed out. I’ve been chewed out before.”
I’m a fan of Tarantino, so I really was looking forward to this movie. Waltz does a great job, unfortunately he is only one part of the plot.
05/10——–wanted to like it—didn’t
