A Lady Takes a Chance (1943)

Molly J. Truesdale (Jean Arthur) plays a city girl that takes a bus tour out West and falls for Duke Hudkins (John Wayne) a  rodeo cowboy. Phil Silvers has a small part as the tour bus guide and Charles Winninger plays Duke’s sidekick.

The movie follows your basic scenario for this type of movie, boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl back in the end. Somehow even the predictably ends up being enjoyable, you just like the girl and want her to get her cowboy.

“Women is like socks… you gotta change ’em regular”

07/10 —It’s is a funny and enjoyable romantic comedy–It’s got a cowboy, but it’s not a western!
