Slumdog Millionaire was directed by Danny Boyle and won 8 Academy Awards including Best Picture. It is adapted from an Indian book, Q&A.

This was a good movie with a good story.  It is a long and difficult road out of an Indian slum and this movie takes us all the way from rags to riches.  There was not really anything that stood out to me as being great, but it was a good solid movie.  I liked that it did not hold back with the darker scenes despite being somewhat of a family movie.  The darkness added to the triumphant ending, but it also added a sense of realness and despair.  This was necessary as the story is unbelievable with its over the top Hollywood ending.
